When she’s not in New York, Martha lives with her husband in Castiglione del Terziere, a medieval village in Lunigiana, Italy. Martha has lectured and led fiction workshops in Milan, Cortona, Siena, Certaldo, and Cremona; in Cortona, she curated literary events at the Tuscan Sun Festival of the Arts for four years.
